
Surrey, B.C. – The countdown is officially on as the 2026 Canada Cup International Softball Championship returns to Softball City in Surrey from July 3rd-12th, bringing together the world’s top fastpitch talent for 10 days of elite international competition.
Featuring national teams and elite programs from across the globe, the Canada Cup once again solidifies its reputation as one of the premier women’s fastpitch events in the world. Fans will have the opportunity to witness Olympic-calibre athletes and the next generation of stars compete on Canadian soil, including Team Canada, who returns to Surrey ready to compete in front of a passionate home crowd.
Team Canada begins its Canada Cup campaign on Monday, July 6th with a marquee matchup against Brazil at 6:00 PM, before returning to the diamond on Tuesday, July 7th to take on Venezuela at 6:00 PM. The action continues with a highly anticipated showdown against New Zealand on Wednesday, July 8th at 6:15 PM, before Canada closes out round-robin play with key matchups against Czechia and China on Thursday, July 9th and Chinese Taipei Development on Friday, July 10th.
The tournament’s Canadian presence extends beyond the national team, with Canada Elite competing throughout the week against top international competition, including matchups against Chinese Taipei, TC Colorado, Israel, and Peru.
The 2026 field features a diverse and highly competitive lineup of teams from around the world, including American Samoa, Brazil, China, Chinese Taipei, Czechia, Israel, New Zealand, Peru, Saskatchewan 222’s, Singapore, Venezuela, and leading American club program TC Colorado.
Beyond the Women’s International division, the Canada Cup will welcome more than 1,500 athletes competing across additional divisions, including Futures Select (U19), Futures Gold (U19), Showcase Select (17U), and Showcase Gold (17U). The tournament continues to be a vital platform for athlete development while delivering a world-class experience for fans, families, and the local community.

The Canada Cup International Softball Championship is operated by the Canadian Amateur Sport Society, a registered not-for-profit society dedicated to advocating and encouraging the development of softball by staging first class events and programs while celebrating the unifying power of sport. The Canada Cup is devoted to providing young, high caliber, female athletes the opportunity to expand their potential and ability by fielding elite level fastpitch teams and provide an entertaining, fun-filled sporting experience for the Canada Cup spectator.
