2009 Canada Cup International Women's Fastpitch Tournament
SEEDING
International Championship Round
After completion of preliminary round play, all five (5) teams from the International division and the top three (3) teams from the North American division, will advance to the International Championship Round. The Canada Cup Host Committee will arbitrarily place the top three teams from the North American Division into the third, fifth and eighth seed positions in the International Championship Round. The International Championship Round is a double elimination format with a sudden death championship final (no 'if necessary game' played).
Seeding in International Championship Round
- First place team in the International Division
- Second place team in the International Division
- First place team in the North American Division
- Third place team in the International Division
- Second place team in the North American Division
- Fourth place team in the International Division
- Fifth place team in the International Division
- Third place team in the North American Division
North American Play-off Round
The remainder of the teams in the North American division will play in the North American Play-off Round. The North American Play-off Round is a double elimination format with a sudden death play-off final (no 'if necessary game' played).
Seeding in North American Play-off Round
- Fourth place team in the North American Division
- Fifth place team in the North American Division
- Sixth place team in the North American Division
- Winner of CCNA-A (Seventh Place versus Eighth Place in the North American Division)
